P T 150 Physical Therapist Assistant Procedures I (2) This course is an introductory study of the general principles for applying and treating with the use of massage, radiant heat,conductive heat, hydrotherapy, cryotherapy, and intermittent compression. The course is designed to give the PTA student aworking knowledge in the application and theory of physical agents, in order to enhance the rehabilitation process. These treatmentmethods will be discussed and practiced in relation to the overall clinical management of patients and their specific disorders. Atsome campuses, traction, ultrasound, continuous passive motion, ultraviolet, diathermy, aquatic therapy, and other physicalagents will also be studied and practiced.
