AET 135 - Construction Materials/Methods

Description
This course covers construction materials and methods of use as they relate to the overall building industry. Major emphasis is on soils, concrete, brick, masonry, steel, non-ferrous metals, lumber, timber, and plastics. Materials and methods are discussed in the context of their application in design, construction, building codes, zoning ordinances, and building loads. Prerequisites: (Test scores or EAP 093 or ENG 090 or ENG 091 or higher) and (Test scores or MAT 010 or concurrent)
