BIOL 642 - Cell Communication/Signaling

Description
This is a 3 credit graduate level course that delves into the fundemental pronciples through which cells with eukaryotic organisms communicate with each other. it also examines the transduction mechanisms and molecular pathways through which signals are relayed with in particular cells. A key portion of this course will focus on how two key cellular systems, neuronal and cardiac cells communicate; and detail the implication of a failure of that interaction. Overall this course will equip students with critical understanding of how interand intracellular communication forms the basis of cellular interactions in biology.
