HST 274 - Intelligence In 20Th Century

Description
A study of intelligence gathering and analysis in the twentieth century (and beyond). This course will address the role intelligence played in the politics, diplomacy, and strategy of the leading world powers. Special consideration will be given to the eras of the two world wars, the cold war, and the emerging nations in the post-war period. The course is comparative in nature and will examine the intelligence communities of the United States, the European powers, the Soviet Union, Japan, China, and Israel. Requirement Designation: Understanding the Past.
