PHOT 109C - Portrait Photography

Advisory: PHOT 103 C. Term hours: 36 lecture and 54 laboratory. This course is designed to give the student a working knowledge of portrait styles and techniques. The student will practice techniques for photographing people in a studio and on location situation. The student will work with both natural and artificial lighting and learn the possibilities and limitations of both. Emphasis will be placed on lighting styles and patterns, as well as working with people in front of the camera. Students will have an opportunity to investigate and imitate the styles of well-known portrait photographers. $20.00 Material Fee-Payable at Registration. (CSU) (UC)
