EDCS 5030 - Social Justice

Description
This course is designed to provide an understanding of trends and issues in counseling multicultural and diverse populations. There is a focus on attitudes and issues arising from different values and cultural assumptions that affect counseling intervention. Attention is given to cultural sub-groupings of ethnicity, racial, socioeconomic status, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, and other demographics as they relate to the counseling process. Enrollment Requirements: Main Campus Must be a COUNS major and must have obtained graduate classified standing to take this course.
