AV 111B - Private Pilot Certification Lab

Description
Students will begin flight training with an FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) Certificated Flight Instructor. Training will include all skills necessary to pass the FAA Private Pilot Airplane Certificate Practical Exam. This course is designed for AAS Aviation Technology degree seeking majors. Prerequisite: Instructor approval or Corequisite: AV 110.. Class Notes: Attention CSN students considering enrollment in:AV111 Private Pilot Certification Lab1. This course is intended for CSN Aviation Technology majors seeking the AAS Aviation Technology degree- Professional Pilot.2. Students must be prepared to begin flight training first week of class. 3. Additional fees of $9800 apply. This fee is paid directly to selected flight school provider paid over the course of the semester.3. Extensive flight training occurs off campus at either Henderson Executive Airport (Cactus Aviation) or North Las Vegas Airport (Elite Flight Training).4. The outcome for this course is to pass the FAA Private Pilot Check Ride.5. The grade assignment for this course may be A or F. No partial grades given.Enrollment in this course is DISCOURAGED if:1. You are not seeking the AAS Aviation Technology degree.2. You are not prepared to begin flight training.3. Need course credits to meet a full time load.FAA Medical Certificate-3rd Class or above required. Visit www.faa.gov website and apply online using the MedXPress application, then schedule an AME of your choice.TSA Clearance-Students holding other than citizenship in the United States must acquire TSA clearance prior to any flight training.
