PHA 430 - Immunopharmacology and Biotechnology

Description
This course will emphasize the developments in immunology and pharmacology as they relate to the modulation of the immune response. The information will include: the fundamental of cellular immunology, the physiology, pathology and pharmacology of cytokines, mechanisms of action of immune-suppressive drugs, mechanisms of allergic disease and tissue transplant rejection, monoclonal antibodies as therapeutic agents, anti-HIV agents and the development of T-cell vaccines for treating AIDS and gene therapy.
