Professor Applin is one of the most caring professors. She is incredibly knowledgeable. You will learn how to critical think and get new perspectives on how the criminal justice system works. There is a lot of reading articles but they are always interesting reads. Discussions are on every Thursday so be prepared to talk.

AMAZING PROFESSOR! She is so eager to teach and genuinely wants the best for you. She has amazing lectures. Had weekly readings about diff prisons in the world and I can say it changed my perspective on many. I learned a lot and it was a very informative course. Answered emails quickly. No tests, no final. Participate in the weekly readings!
