DNCE 4037 - Contemporary Concert Dance: Shifting Perspectives in Performance

Description
Focuses on the development of perceptual, descriptive, and analytical skills as well as the ability to apply cultural and critical theory to 20th and 21st century concert dance. Specific pieces of choreography are looked at from a broad range of perspectives. Recommended prerequisite or corequisite: a Human Diversity core requirement course. Class Notes: Students who do not attend the first two class sessions may be administratively dropped at the discretion of the instructor. Enrollment Requirements: Restricted to students with 57-180 credits (Juniors or Seniors).
