Professors Cartwright's class is textbook orientated. She lectures the entire class period and it is hard to interpret what she is talking about and how it relates to what she has us read in the textbook. The textbook is also very hard to follow, the readings tend to confusing. She isn't very helpful and tends to embarrass students in class weekly.

Dr. Santoro is very passionate about history, and his lectures reflect that. However, be ready to write an amazing Book Review, then turn it in early, and don't expect much feedback. There were 3 or 4 tests, including the Midterm and Final. The tests got better as the semester went on, although the essay portion remained extremely difficult.
