EM 211 - Intro to Enterprise Information Systems

Description
This course will introduce students to enterprise information systems, their components, integration, and use as part of the business process. The distributed, accurate, real time flow of information is a critical success factor for most organizations. The ability of an organization to collect and analyze this information is crucial in today’s data-driven economy. The focus of this course is on the functional and strategic use of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, its application, input devices, implementation issues and use. Hands-on experience with SAP ERP is integral to this course. Offered fall and spring semesters. Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisites: students may not receive credit for IS200 as well as EM211 and restricted to E&M majors. Requirement Designation: Technology.
