CPSC 220 - Scientific Computing I

Description
(Same as MATH 220, PHYS 220.) Prerequisite, CPSC 230, or 231. This example-driven course introduces computation as a tool for scientific exploration. Topics include manuscript preparation with LaTeX and Jupyter, test-driven development, numerical methods with arrays/dataframes, and symbolic computation. Modern languages like Python and MATLAB are emphasized, along with brief introductions to Julia, Sage, and Mathematica. (Offered spring semester.) 3 credits. Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite, CPSC 230, or 231.
