BIO 2050. Biology of the Environment with Lab (I, III; 3) This course studies biodiversity in the environment of ecosystems and landscapes with emphasis on identification using standard taxonomic keys, natural history, and molecular phylogenetic analysis. It includes environmental and ecological factors affecting organisms and focuses on conservation and management of natural areas. Four lectures/laboratory periods per week. Prerequisites: BIO 1500 or BIO 1801.
