FSWRIT 2002 - Writing Mechanics II

Description
This is course two of four for students who need instruction in basic writing skills required for college level analytical writing. The course will cover writing paragraphs; how to organize thoughts and information; examining the source of information.; identifying problems of accuracy, specificity, and clarity, and writing explanations of the problem. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Class Notes: It is mandatory for students to complete all (no partial credit) Developmental Education Initiative (DEI) modules for a total of 16 hours of GROUP TUTORING in Building 200 (or Room 2215 at the AVI campus), see their advisor at least two times during the session, complete at least 5 hours of computer assisted learning online, and retake the placement test. DEI (formerly CASH-to-ROI) is worth 15% of the final course grade.
