CRMJUS 234 - Criminal Law & Procedure

Description
Analysis of the nature of substantive criminal law, with emphasis on its historical and philosophical development in the United States. Examination of constitutional rights of the defendant, as these relate to arrest, rules of evidence, and courtroom procedure at pre-trial and trial level. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Class Notes: Section KM is a mini semester class which begins the week of 2/12/18 and ends the week ending 5/12/18. Enrollment Requirements: Consent of Department Chairperson.
