Introduction to the nature and methodology of comparative political research. Comparative study of governments from each world region. Cross-national analysis of major dimensions of the political processes, political structures, and state activities in Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Europe. Examination of the major themes of comparative politics such as democratization, nation building, ethnic conflicts, and social movements. Class Notes: +CONFERENCE TBA.
