DCC 320 - Arts in Society

Description
Surveys trends in modern American society as they relate to the arts. Familiarizes students with issues of censorship, public funding, and the First Amendment through written assignments, creative projects, and presentations. Refines analytical skills in the areas of aesthetic construal, community standards, controversial content, and artists’ freedom of expression.
