COID 297 - Special Topics

Description
SPECIAL TOPICS (0 to 4 credits). Special topics courses address special or unusual material not covered by the regular course offerings. Course topics may be offered no more than three times; after that, the course must be approved by the Curriculum Committee before it can be offered again. Class Notes: This is a hybrid course which will meet 3 times during the semester and will include an online portion for the rest of the content. For students curious about entrepreneurship. We study the techniques and tricks that made innovative startups like Uber, Google, Tesla, and more, into billion dollar companies. We watch Shark Tank episodes to learn about the Value Proposition Canvas and to prepare to pitch business ideas. This class is recommended for students preparing to compete in the Idaho Entrepreneur Challenge (IEC).
