Credits: 4 Description: Chemical and physical features of the marine environment and a survey of pelagic and benthic communities, with an emphasis on temperate intertidal rocky shores. The biology of key organisms is explored and the effects of human activities on marine communities are considered. Prerequisites: BIOL 117 or equivalent. Textbook: J.S. Levinton "Marine Biology: Function, Biodiversity, Ecology" (3rd edition).
