Waldo Martin

He's a warm, caring, and often funny lecturer. His love of music both complements his class and takes away from time that could be spent on more formal, more organized presentation of didactic material. His tendency to wander gets frustrating at times, especially by the end of the semester. The readings are great but he does not discuss them.

I took Professor Martin's History 24 freshman seminar in F2020 and he's the sweetest old man you'll ever meet. I don't even like history, and yet his stories are the reason why I liked coming to class. There was only one final essay, which was a short 800 word write up on whatever topic in the class.
