Prerequisite: Completion or waiver of MAT 012. An introduction to game design, students who take this course will be exposed to the many facets that impact the design process. They will generate a substantial design document, implement several computer games, and discuss the relevance of theory in design of games. The students will consider from the context of psychology of the player, the economics of the game structure and more complex topics such as the biases inherent in the gaming industry and how as designers they must be willing to address these issues. Non-credit for students who have successfully completed or waived CSC236.
