Explores rural community health nursing, focusing on history and development of rural community focused care, health care systems, epidemiology, and individuals, families, and special populations. Determine and apply appropriate theories to provision of care to individuals in rural community settings and special populations in rural, urban, or suburban settings. Address prevention, promotion, maintenance, and restoring health. Focus on transcultural nursing concepts and diverse populations.
