ECON 4050 - Internl Inst & Contemp Trd Pol

Description
An examination of the role of international institutions in the global marketplace. Topics will include the role of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in international financial markets; the roles of the IMF and the World Bank in stabilization and development strategies; an examination of contemporary trade policy within the context of the World Trade Organization, including the importance of intellectual property rights. The course will rely heavily on case studies. Prerequisite ECON 3050.
