EMHS 6243 - Intelligence in Emergency Management and Homeland Security

Prerequisites: EMHS 6043 and EMHS 6063 or consent of instructor This course is an overview of the field of intelligence with an emphasis on understanding the basics of the field and how it is used in actual practice. In an ever-changing world it is critical to understand the basics of information gathering and how it is analyzed to produce actionable results. Students will explore governmental concerns, intelligence operations and the politics of dealing with information for defensive purposes.
