One of THE best grad courses I've ever taken. He's super excited about his work and numerical methods in general. I would always discuss questions related to my research with him and he was kind enough to help me out. If you're taking APM courses because you find it fascinating, you'll love this man.

If you ever have a math class and see Gardner as the teacher I would highly recommend taking him! He is very generous with his grading and his homework was about half of the test. This is class in general is sometimes hard to grasp but he cares a lot about the subject.
