PHY 4740 - Sensors and Transducers

Description
This applications-oriented course covers the integration of transducers into sensor-based systems. Students will integrate transducers with signal conditioning circuitry and will develop proficiency in interfacing the conditioned signals with data acquisition hardware, using programs such as the National Instruments LabVIEW software program. Sensors covered include, but are not limited to, temperature, pressure, optical, and humidity. Lecture three hours, laboratory three hours. Prerequisite: PHY 4730 (Analog Systems).
