In this course, students concentrate on the nurseâ€™s roles of provider of care, designer, manager, and coordinator of care and member of the profession in caring for groups in a community setting. The focus is on assisting vulnerable populations to achieve improved health goals and outcomes. Students participate in a variety of techniques for improving health care, such as patient education. Also, students partner with community agencies to positively influence health care. Lecture three hours, clinical laboratory two hours. Prerequisite: admission to the online RN to BSN degree program.
