A seminar in which students, faculty, and guest lecturers make presentations on current topics in physics. The Junior Seminar has three goals: (1) to begin student preparation for the Senior Project, (2) to facilitate student awareness of the impact of physics on society, & (3) to inform the student of other areas of physics research. This is accomplished by becoming familiar with research in the department, giving an oral presentation on some aspect of physics & society, and preparing a written and oral review of research relevant to a prospective senior project. Students are also expected to attend department seminars. Credit: Two semester hours. Distribution Requirements: None.
