LS 225 - NaviGator Mentoring

Description
An introduction to peer mentoring. Students better understand how their own development and experiences influence their relationships with NaviGator mentees by acquiring practical knowledge of interpersonal communication and academic success. The seven content modules prepare NaviGators to encourage their first-year mentees to develop the skills and attitudes demonstrated by independent, successful, and self-regulated learners. The modules also provide NaviGators with background and practice in the areas of advising, retention, effective communication, diversity and inclusion, and self-discovery. Must be taken credit/no credit. Prerequisite: Permission of the instructor. Distribution Requirements: none
