HIST 560 - Witchcraft in Colonial Amer

Description
This seminar will investigate the social, political, economic, religious, and literary interpretations of the Salem Village witchcraft trials of 17th century Massachusetts Bay Colony. The culture of Puritanism will be explored. Students will be required to formulate their own interpretation of the events studied. Prerequisites: HIST*324 and permission of the instructor. Distribution Requirements: None.
