Description
A thematic study of major issues in the history of American women. Topics may include: the experiences of women in the settlement process; the effects of war and revolution on women?s lives; the impact of the women?s rights and feminist movements on American women and men; how race, ethnicity, and class have shaped women?s lives; the history of sexuality; the changing nature of women?s roles within the family; and women and work in American history. Prerequisite: HIST*261 or the permission of the instructor. Distribution Requirements: PD, SB.
