An intensive production class that explores visual and aural elements, which contribute to the art of narrative cinema. Early films, fictional and non- fictional, are used to study the origins of modern cinema. Each student makes short projects explor- ing filmic principles chosen from those presented in class. As a group student produce a lengthier project and then arrange and promote a public screening. Students create a coherent visual style understand the logistics of production, and gain an overview of the marketplace. Offered every other years. Prerequisite: COMRT*285 and COMRT*300 and permission of the instructor. Distribution Requirements: None.
