CHIN 355 - Modern Chin Lit in Translation

Description
A survey of influential literary works since the May Fourth movement of 1919. Students read fiction, poetry, and novels from different periods, investigate the political, cultural and/or aesthetic issues involved when the works were produced, gain an understanding of literary conventions of different genres, and learn to critically and creatively interpret individual texts. Taught in English. Distribution Requirements: HE, IP.
