SW 397 - Ethics and The Social Work Profession

This course will help students to acquire the knowledge base required to identify ethical issues, the skills neccessary to resolve ethical dilemmas, and the capacity to make ethical decisions when confronted with conflicting duties and choices that occur with the context of professional social work practice. Students will acquire an in-depth understanding of the social work profession's specific value base and code of ethics which specifies ethical principles and standards related to clients, colleagues, employers, the profession of social work and society.
